One of the many quiet and picturesque beaches of Essex. Many people think of the Essex coast as being all mudlfats and shingle, but there are some lovely sandy spots for those willing to drive out a little further. This small and quiet family resort has a gently shelving sand and shingle beach. A car park next to the beach gives good access. Activities include windsurfing, canoeing, jet skis, crazy golf and bowls. Dogs are restricted.
Access by road via the B1027 and B1029 from Colchester and Clacton on Sea. The nearest railway station is at Alreford, three miles away.
