Spring has finally sprung and as the Easter holidays approach what better way to enjoy some fresh air than with a visit to RHS Garden Hyde Hall in Rettendon near Chelmsford. The late spring means this Easter will see a fantastic display of bulbs and blossom at the garden and with plenty of events lined up for all ages and experience, we know you will find something to interest you whatever your age and whatever the weather! Children under six visit for free but all children bringing their kites to the garden this Easter will be admitted free and enjoy a great open space to fly them.

If you are looking for some well deserved R&R after the busy Easter break, why not join us for our Farmers’ Market on Saturday 17 April and indulge in some delicious locally produced food and drink. (10am and 1pm with free admission before 11am and normal garden prices after 11am). Or come along to our special Painting Spring Flowers event with Pauline Grove on Sunday 18 April where you will have the chance to paint with watercolours using the backdrop of the garden for inspiration.

RHS Garden Hyde Hall is open from 10am – 6pm (1 Apr – 31 October). Last entry is one hour before garden closing time. Entry is free for RHS members, £7 for adults and £2.50 for children (children under 6 are free). Groups of 10 or more £6 per person – please call 01245 400256 to book in advance.
