Chelmsford Borough Council is running a wide range of children’s activities this October Half Term Holiday. For full details see their online brochure.
Events and activities include:
- Dance! Learn a range of dance styles at Boswells School on Thurs 27th. Various sessions split by age, from 4 years up to 16 years. Call 01245 606979
- Tree Top Ropes and Climbing – Friday 28th – Danbury Outdoors. Cost £20
- Bikeability Booking is essential. 2 levels both at the Boswells School. Level 1 on Monday 24th (7-11 years), Level 2 on Tues 25th to Fri 28th (11-16 years).
- Mountain Biking Two Sessions on Tue 25th, 10-12pm and 1-3pm. Hylands Park

Chelmsford Sports and Athletics Centre

2009 Events Archive
Rock School
Rock School is a 5 hour music session for older children. Children will learn the basics of guitar, drum and keyboard.
- Wednesday 28th October, 10am – 3pm, cost £25
- Parents must supply a packed lunch
- For children 7 years +
Basketball
This course will teach children the 3 basic skills of basketball – shooting, passing and dribbling. There will also be plenty of fun and games.
- Wednesday 28th October, 1pm to 4pm, cost £11
- For children 8 years +
Action Hero Special – Go Karts, Trampolining and Martial Arts
This will certainly tire your kids out this half term!
- Thursday 29th October, 1pm to 4pm, cost £11
- For children 4 to 9 years
- Parents must supply snack and drink
Badminton and Mini Tennis
The session will teach children the basics of badminton and tennis from an experienced sports coach.
- Friday 30th October. 10am to 12pm, cost £7.50
- Children 7 years +
Sportastic
This session introduces children to a wide variety of different sports while having fun. Kids can try basketball, Kwik Cricket, football, table tennis, tag rugby plus many more games.
- Friday 30th October. 12.30pm to 3.30pm, cost £11
- Children 7 to 12 years
Sports Galore
This session combines the two above sessions, i.e. Badminton and Mini Tennis, and then Sportastic.
- Friday 30th October. 10am to 3.30pm, cost £16
- Children 7 to 12 years
- Parents must supply lunch and a drink
