It was all hands to the spade and fork as Britain faced a war on the Home Front in 1940 to provide as much of its own food as possible.
William will take a look at who grew the food, where they grew it and what they grew. The message for us today is a
clear one – Get Digging!
They meet at St. David’s Church Hall, 400 Rayleigh Road (off The Rodings), Eastwood SS9 5PT at 8.15pm although, for safety reasons, there must be no admittance to hall and car park before 8.00pm.
Everyone is more than welcome to attend – just £2.00.
