Earl of Wessex Awards Essex Horticultural Students

The Earl of Wessex, more commonly known as Prince Edward, praised Writtle College last week while awarding prizes to two outstanding students. Peter Jones and Alastair Arnold both received the £250 prize from the Prince for obtaining a First Class degree in Horticulture.

The ceremony took place at the Company’s Autumn Court Dinner held in Inner Temple Hall in London. The event was held in honour of the Worshipful Company of Gardeners.

Writtle College is one of the top horticultural and agricultural colleges in the country. Writtle College also covers a wide range of courses including agriculture, animals, business, conservation, design, engineering, equine studies, floristry, horticulture, sport and vet nursing.

Few people are aware of Writtle Colleges excellent design school.
