Thousands of local residents attended the annual Castle Point Borough Show on Sunday (18 July) at Waterside Farm Showground, Canvey. The event, organised by Castle Point Borough Council, provided a host of entertainment for children and parents while also making room for local organisations to raise awareness of a number of useful local services.
NHS South East Essex’ health improvement team were on hand to offer local support and advice on a range of health services to local residents. Information was available from the Stop Smoking team, Patient Advice and Liaison service (PALS) and the Community Stroke team.
A colouring competition was also organised with local children colouring in pictures of doctors and nurses (see picture).
