More Essex Strike Action – Buses, Post, Trains

October 16, 2009

The Post Office is planning more strikes in the forthcoming weeks. Essex bus drivers are also striking over pay and conditions. Train drivers and firefighters are also talking about strike action. All this while we are suffering from the credit crunch and Government is planning more public spending cuts. Even local taxi drivers are planning to strike over the unfair taxi licensing policy.

To cope we need more of the community volunteers like the kind man from Great Baddow that gave stranded bus passengers free lifts into town during the last bus strike on Monday. The Green Goddesses will have to be mobilised if the firefighters strike. If the rail companies strike again, then it will be business that suffers most as workers stay at home.
