In the last few months we have heard from people who have received telephone calls offering free roof insulation. We are trying to determine if these are complete scams, maybe a partial con or completely legitimate.

Remember, it costs a lot of money to phone up every household in Essex so any company doing this is hoping to make a good return on that investment.

Concern for Jobs at Game Group Shops Across Essex

Today we learned that Game Group Plc. has entered administration. Game has several stores across Essex, including one in Chelmsford City. The Chelmsford branch is in the centre of the High Chelmer shopping precinct. It holds a prime position opposite Starbucks.

As well as the Chelmsford store Game also have / had stores at the Lion Walk Shopping Centre in Colchester, Town Square in Basildon, Brentwood High Street, Braintree, Clacton-on-Sea and Harlow. Many jobs are obviously threatened by this news.

Today was expected to be the busiest shopping day of the year. On the news this morning reporters were excitedly talking of today seeing sales of over ONE BILLION POUNDS across the UK today.

Legal & General Property (LGP) today announces that it has acquired The Meadows Shopping Centre, Chelmsford, Essex, from Lend Lease for £56.1 million, reflecting a net initial yield of 7.75%.
