Which Essex Schools Are Closed Due To Snow?

Snow has hit Essex heavily over the weekend, and while parents and kids have had a lot of fun over the weekend there is now the usual uncertainty over whether or not school will be open, and if it is possible to find childcare at such short notice.

The official advice from Essex County Council is that you need to contact the schools direct in the morning to find out if they are open. Most schools now operate an answer phone system which will state if the school is closed before you are directed to reception. Some schools send out text messages or emails too.

If you are aware of a school that is closed please feel free to mention it in the comments below. It may help someone save a wasted journey in these dangerous conditions. Some of the best schools in Essex have managed to remain open, which is always good news for working parents.
