Le Talbooth (01206 323150) is in the heart of “Constable Country” in Dedham near Colchester. It is a family run country house with an award winning restaurant.
In 2012 La Talbooth’s chef, Aaron Skerritt, won Chef of the Year in the Essex Food and Drink Awards.
They have an al la carte menu, Lunch club menu and a Sunday lunch meny. On the a la carte menu you will find delights such as Colchester crab ravioli, Dedham Vale steak tartare and Breast of quail and confit leg pithivier. For lunch you can enjoy Tiger prawn risotto, Navarin of lamb or Tenderloin of Dingly Dell pork! (all menus are of course subject to change).
Sunday lunches are served from 12 pm to 2.30pm. Throughout the summer they also do Sunday BBQ’s.
As well as a restaurant they also provide accommodation, and often do promotions giving a free dinner to guests.
