The Two Brewers, Chelmsford
The Two Brewers came under new management this year, and is now run by Mike and Tina Collins, who were previously landlords of the Riverside Inn for 10 years (which was another excellent place for Sunday lunch). Since taking over the Two Brewers they have given it a major overhaul, including jet washing all the kitchen equipment. They now run a larger kitchen than they previously had, with their son Mark as head chef, producing some fine meals. The Two Brewers is a real family pub, and in town too. One of the other good changes they made was to remove all the television screens attracting a sophisticated crowd and creating a pleasant atmosphere – the minimum age is now 21 years old. In addition to fine Sunday roasts they do traditional pub food throughout the week.
- Sunday lunch is served from 12pm to 6pm.
