Once again the Chelmsford V Festival will be held at Hylands Park on the 17th and 18th August 2013. 4 stages and the Glee Club Comedy Tent.
2013 Acts include:
Beyoncé – Kings of Leon – Stereophonics – Jessie J – Olly Murs – Paloma Faith – Ocean Colour Scene – Scouting For Girls – Maximo Park – Lianne Le Havas – The Vaccines – Beady Eye – Calvin Harris – The Sript – Emeli Sandé
This is set to be one of the best V Festivals to date. A great line up and the fantastic Hylands Park just seems to get better each year. The first V Festival was in 1996 and it stormed to success immediately.
V is becoming one if the best summer music festivals in the UK and is on par with Reading and Glastonbury in terms of the bands that perform, although the festival is not on such a large scale.
Tickets go on sale to Chelmsford residents on Thursday morning (you have to live within 3 miles of the venue) before going on sale to the rest of the UK.
More information on travel to the V Festival, camping and accommodation, plus access to the V Festival community and social media sites are all available on the official website: www.vfestival.com
A Look Back – V Festival 2012
The 2012 V Festival had some great acts. On Saturday the headliners were The Stone Roses and Noel Gallager’s High Flying Birds. On the Sunday the feature acts were Killers and Snow Patrol.
There were a lot of older acts on offer a the V weekend, such as Madness, Happy Mondays, The Human League, The Proclaimers, The Stranglers, Inspiral Carpets and Tom Jones!
V Festival 2011
V Festival 2011 was at the time the most eclectic and show-stopping yet, as the immensely talented Arctic Monkeys and Eminem headlined the V Stage. Joining them across the weekend were Plan B, Dizzee Rascal, Primal Scream (Screamadelica), The Script, Kaiser Chiefs, Pendulum, Duran Duran and Chase and Status to name a few.
