Once you’re all ready to go then it’s time to decide where to fish, and we have some of the best recommendations for Carp Fishing have in Essex for you to choose from.

Crows Heath Fishery

What began life as a small pond only an acre in size, is now a prime fishing spot for leisure and pro anglers from across Essex. Fish for carp in the massive main lake, or pleasure lake and you could land a catch up to 42lb. Pike fishing available in Winter. A day and night fishing location – ticketed per 12hr session or membership based. Located at Crowsheath Farm, Billericay.

Bentley Fishery

A carefully planned lake stocked with around 70 prime quality carp, with features designed to attract all the specimens and provide well thought out swims, offering separate spaces for every fisherman. Summer and winter fishing is available through a range of tickets. With only 5 anglers on the lake at any one time, fishing at Bentley Fishery is a unique experience. Find them at Mores Lane, Brentwood.

Churchwood Fisheries

Brentwood is the place to be if you’re looking for some exclusive day ticket fishing. The three lakes are in a great location for spotting wildlife, including kingfishers and muntjac deer. Facilities include a lodge equipped with a shower, toilet and mobile charging points. Head to Churchwood Lake for the carp fishing, with specimens pushing the 34lb mark. Other species at Churchwood Fisheries include Roach and Bream.

Par Fishery

West Horndon is the location for some record breaking carp fishing – the lake record here for carp is 38lb, and there are plenty of good sized stock to fish over Faraway and Tillingham Lakes.  The number of swims and anglers are limited so check out Par Fishery online for the latest lake availability and pre-booking.

A12 Cuton Lakes

Cuton Lakes can be found in the Chelmer Village area of Chelmsford, and the best part about this location is there’s no closed season so you can fish 7 days a week throughout the year. Prices are based on the lake, number of rods used, and whether you are booking a day, half day or 24 hour ticket. Carp species stocked across the 3 lakes and woodland pond include crucian carp, mirror carp and common carp.

Essex Carp Syndicates

Day tickets, corporate and match bookings are available at The Mill Lake has over 160 fish present including an old English strain of carp. The Rise, the largest of the Essex Carp Syndicate Lakes was only formed in 2007 but already has a reputation for large 40-48lb fish, and is open to members, while a small lake at The Mill is open to day ticket members, corporate and match bookings.

Clavering Lakes

Just 2 short miles from Clavering, and 7 miles from Saffron Walden is an outstanding carp fishing location. Day, night and competition fishing is available along with a tackle shop and lodge serving up tasty meals.  The Clavering Lakes are stocked throughout the year and there’s a choice of surroundings and specimens to fish. There’s lots going on, and you can bring the family as well.

Oak Lakes Fisheries

Head to Southminster for a choice of 4 well stocked fishing lakes. Oak Lake Fisheries is a secure site offering a match lake, member’s only Pipe Lake, and two other interesting fishing spots. Non-members can book day, 24 hour or specialist catfish/pike tickets. Oak Lake is well-established and you could land a carp of 30lbs plus here.

Bayeswater Fishing Lakes

In fishery terms, the Bayeswater Fishing Lakes is a fairly new venture, but it’s one that’s grown over the years, and one which has interesting plans for the future. It’s located in the Generals Farm area of Boreham, and is open to members who can currently fish two lakes on-site. A great location near to main road networks, and with new fishing opportunities in 2017, could prove even more popular.

Honeypot Lakes

Head over to Honeypot Lakes, and you’ll be warmly welcomed whether you are a new angler, carp enthusiast, or a young fisherman in the making. Book to fish the specimen carp lake, or the day ticket lake which is well known for its stock of bream, carp and tench. Both day and night fishing are available here, and catch reports are available online if you want to check out results from fellow anglers.

Lakeland Fishery

The Essex Countryside has comes up trumps again with another fishery set in unspoilt scenic grounds close to both the A12 and M25. You can fish here for 364 days a year, although the place really comes alive in Spring and Summer. 3 lakes, including a member’s only affair available at Lakeland Fishery.

Earls Hall Fisheries

Sometimes we like to be beside the seaside, so we’ve included Earlshall Fisheries in our list. Located in Clacton on Sea, this is a pre-book only fishery. You’ll find an impressive array of mirror and common carp, with great growth rates in the Top Lake, which you can fish in 12 hours slots.
