NHS South East Essex is currently consulting on changes to the way GP services are provided to patients registered at the Globe Surgery, Westcliff-on-Sea.
Patients registered at The Globe Surgery and other stakeholders including GPs have been sent a document asking for their views on three proposed options. The consultation closes on 10 December.
Two public meetings were held in early October, and a further public meeting will be held on: Tuesday 2 November 2010 from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm at St. Bernard’s High School, Milton Road, Westcliff on Sea SS0 7JS. Everyone is very welcome to attend.
All comments received will be analysed and a report will be presented to the Board of NHS South East Essex on 27 January. A letter advising patients of the Board’s decision will be sent to head of households on 3 February 2011.
Ian Stidston, Interim Director of Primary and Community Care at NHS South East Essex said:
“It is important that patients receive GP services that meet their needs, their opinions are very important to us. We hope that those who receive the document take this opportunity to have their say.”
