To help encourage more shoppers in to Chelmsford after work in the run up to Christmas parking is being slashed to just £1 from 5pm onwards.
On Thursday 15th December some Chelmsford shops are open until 11pm. Then from 19 to the 23rd December every night will be late night shopping.
Also the retail market beneath the Market Road car park (“the mutlistory”) will be open 7 days a week until Christmas Eve.

To add a little more magic to the Christmas shopping the Meadow’s shopping is being covered in a blanket of snow until Christmas. It will be snowing outside Meadow’s too, with snow falling from a snow machine from the balcony onto the High Street below at 4pm every day, for 15 minutes. Panto Fun at the Library
Saturday 10th December is Pantomine Party Day at Chelmsford library. Librarians are inviting people to come dressed as their favourite panto characters. There will be activities for the kids too, plus prizes. From 10-30am to 12pm.
