
The British Trust for Conservation Volunteers has awarded Essex County Council with two Green Hero regional awards. BTCV awarded Essex County Council after 15 years of dedicated support to green and environmental improvements in the county.
Essex County Council was also awarded for best green project in the East of England, London and the South East for planting 10,000 hedging whips at Marks Hall Farm in Dunmow.
Last year Essex planted around 400,000 trees, and as a result of these excellent green initiative, Essex County Council is going on to the national finals to find the greening county in Britain.
