Chelmsford makes such good sandwiches that MP’s at the House of Commons like to eat them! Raynor Foods, who are based on the Widford Industrial Estate in Chelmsford, have won a contract to supply the House of Commons with sandwiches.

Raynors’ motto is “We cut sandwiches, not corners“, and this attention to detail and quality has certainly proven to be a recipe for success.

Raynor Foods was founded in 1987 by Ray and Rosemary Raynor, both of whom were caterers before forming a family business. Raynor Foods have built on the family ethos and ensure that staff are treated like family. This caring approach to business ensures that staff are happy and this improves working conditions and productivity.

Simon Burns Says Thanks for the Prawn Sandwiches

After winning the contract with the House of Commons, Chelmsford MP Simon Burns dropped in to thank them personally, and congratulate a local business, on winning such an excellent contract.

Simon Burns said that Raynor Foods is a great local success story. Raynor Foods works with local suppliers wherever possible and this has helped to boost the whole local economy in recent years.

Simon Burns’ favourite sandwich is a prawn and salad sandwich – a good healthy option!

Deli Creations range – Diet Sandwiches and Salads

Raynors will be supplying items from their Deli Creations range which includes healthy diet sandwiches and salads. These will be available all through the House of Commons, to staff and visitors.

They are also supplying some items from their Deli Lights range, such as their tortilla and Khobez wraps which are all under 300 Calories, making them a healthy, nutritious and calorie controlled lunchtime snack.
