Colchester United play at the Weston Homes Community Stadium and train at Florence Park in Tiptree. Colchester are proud of their family friendly atmosphere and have many young fans (children under 8 years can watch for just £1). Colchester United is now 76 years old (founded in 1937).

Colchester United’s new football stadium, Weston Homes Community Stadium, has won an award from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

“A landmark £14m stadium in Colchester – home to the town’s football club – has won an award from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). The Weston Homes Community Stadium has been named this year’s overall winner in the RICS East of England Awards. ” Source: BBC News

The stadium is a true community project, as it offers its premises to groups and organisations at cost price.

“In addition to the extensive range of excellent hospitality available for hire, Weston Homes Community Stadium is pleased to provide a limited number of Community Events and activities on an at-cost basis to not-for-profit groups in the Colchester community.

The charge for each Community Event will represent outstanding value, as room hire will be free and our caterers will provide all catering at cost. Standard pricing will apply to the bar, equipment rentals and staff.

This special arrangement will only be available to local or regional not-for-profit organisations from one of the following sectors:

* Voluntary groups
* Social enterprise
* Charities for local causes
* Other third sector organisations
* Schools
* Non-governmental agencies
* Other types of not-for-profit groups

Our Events Committee will consider applications on a monthly basis and will attempt to respond to applications within six weeks, but please contact us as early as possible to leave plenty of time to discuss your requirements.

Overall these Community Events are intended to provide fantastic value for appropriate beneficiaries located within our local and wider community. We hope to see a rich and exciting range of events and activities from groups enjoying this significant community benefit.”
