Helen Robinson-Carey from 5 Elements Martial Arts in Basildon, Essex won her first Full Contact Kickboxing fight at the WAKO show in Doncaster on Sunday 11th of October 2009.
Helen dominated the 3 round fight showing great character and determination. Helen joined 5 Elements Martial Arts a year ago after trying out several clubs around Essex. She said that the friendly atmosphere at the club makes training enjoyable. Helen has been studying martial arts for over 10 years and also holds a black belt in Ju-Jitsu.
Her son Arthur, 11 years old, was at the fight to see her win. He is a member of the Chelmsford Amateur Boxing club and therefore used to ring sports.
“We joined 5 Elements 1 year ago after trying various other clubs in Essex. We like 5 Elements because it has a family atmosphere everyone has their own goals and everyone helps each other to achieve them”

Kickboxing is one of the martial arts taught at 5 Elements with classes aimed at the recreational student looking for simple fitness training and character development and holds separate classes for those students looking to compete at National and International level. The school has full time premises in Cranes Farm Road teaching the local community.
