Britvic Recalls Robinsons Fruit Shoot After A Boy Almost Chokes

Britvic, whose headquarters are in Chelmsford, Essex, have had to recall £25 million worth of Fruit Shoot stock after a 6 year-old boy almost choked on the patented spill proof lid.

The bottles with the problem are the Robinsons Fruit Shoot range. These are very popular soft drinks for children as they are sugar free. The problem has been described as a “packaging safety issue”, which is a polite way of saying that children are at risk of choking on the lids.

Essex County Council Chooses Sodexo For Meals-on-Wheels

Essex County Council has chosen Sodexo to provide its meals on wheel service which it provides to around 1350 elderly and vulnerable people living in Essex.

Meals will actually be supplied Tillery Valley, a subsidiary of Sodexho. Tillery Valley are based in Abertillery, Wales, and provide meals for schools, healthcare and local authorities.

In March 2012 a Flash Mob appeared in the Freeport Shopping Centre in Braintree, outside the Nike Factory Store. Kim Wall from Chelmsford has been one of the best athletes from the Essex since Sally Gunnell’s success in the 400 m hurdles and 400 m relay in the 1992 Olympic Games.
